Performance

Maximum performance is produced when sitting behind the wheel thanks to a dynamic powertrain. Under the hood is a 5.7-liter engine that makes 390 pound-feet and 357 horsepower. It's possible to trailer 7,200 pounds. There is also a 3.6-liter engine that produces 293 horsepower and 260 pound-feet. The SUV's four-wheel drive system delivers on-demand wheel grip. The brand's Limited, Altitude, and Altitude X trims will offer Capri leatherette while Laredo trims have cloth fabric. Fresh air will stream in from the SUV's single-pane sunroof if you opt for one of the Laredo trims, but the Summit trims will provide a dual-pane sunroof. Other interior features are USB ports, power-adjustable front seats, and a center console.

The exterior of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee is also masterfully styled from end to end. Its surfaces are sleek and refined, but some rugged appeal is still visible thanks to muscular proportions and high wheel arches. The entire front-end is a showpiece thanks to elegant styling via a seven-slot grille and slim-designed LEDs. Its fog lights are precisely carved in, and the bumpers will seamlessly connect to create a more uniform appearance. Hard lines will shuttle across the door panels in a straight motion. The SUV's hood is well sculpted, and the roofline is slightly tapered. The Limited trim will come standard with 18-inch, polished-black wheels. High-gloss black wheels via 18- or 20-inch diameters will come standard with the Altitude and Altitude X trims.

Technology/Features

The new Jeep Grand Cherokee has an abundance of tech features starting with premium audio. The Android Auto and Apple CarPlay features are wirelessly connected for convenience. There's a touchscreen display and in-vehicle apps. Other features are interior storage units, a roof rail system, and navigation.
